Oh my god. Guess what? The Bus is broken down again. This has now turned into the most ridiculous tour ever. No one is attending the shows and the bus is breaking. I think that the universe is trying to tell me something. I think that it is teaching me tolerance, patience, understanding, acceptance, humility, and detachment, among other things. I can only begin to guess what it is teaching the band. I do however feel terrible for them. The shows are supposed to start picking up after this when we head towards the east coast, i.e. New York, Philly, Canada, etc. The midwest shows are supposed to be doing well also.
My brother is complaining that I have not been putting up pictures on the blog. To those challenged to read blogs without pictures and shiny things, I do apologize. I will do my best to add pictures.
Food for thought.
Once you pay off your debt, you'll spend time volunteering. Once you save up, you'll take time off to travel in India. Once you own a home, you'll consider starting a family. Once you feel rested enough, you'll start waking early to practice. Once you've been practicing long enough, you'll work on your most challenging pose.
If any of these conditions sound vaguely familiar, you may want to ask yourself, 'What's stopping me from doing exactly what I want to do right now?' It's the classic case of the chicken and the egg, only yogic: Do you wait for the right conditions to manifest before moving forward, or do you create those conditions by moving forward, with trust and without fear?
When I return home after the summer tour with the Fabulous Flaming Lips I am doing at least one of two things. I am either going to Grass Valley to participate in the Sivananda Teacher Training Program, or I am going to go to India, or both. I have realized out on this tour that time is really all that you have, other things don;t really matter, and I for one do not wish to waste anymore time in this life. I also learned the best way to slow down time is to slow down your breath. Try it, It works. Close your eyes, breathe in deep breathe out rinse and repeat.
I wish you all well.

Hey its Mercedes & Murphy! We ran into your brother and the beagles at the school the other day & when I inquired about your current tour I was directed here.
Wow, bad luck! Hope things get better for you all, but just in case there is further entertainment for me, I will be checking back once in a while!
Your consistent calm in the face of insanity brings balance to my world. Thanks for existing.
